Scene: Denny's diner. A short, potbellied man (Steve) is eating at the counter.

Steve finishes the omlette. He gets up, wipes his mouth with a paper napkin, and throws a few dollars on the table.

Steve: Thanks Deborah, y'all have a nice day.

[Camera switch to close up of small plastic bowl containing tooth picks]

Steve appears to be thinking. He hesitates and then reaches for a toothpick. He places it between his teeth at a rakish angle.

[Zoom in on Steve's face]

Steve starts chewing the toothpick. Suddenly he swallows it. His eyes dilate.

[Cue "House" credits]
