So, I've been having trouble lately figuring out my political convictions.

I think it's too often the case that people are liberal merely by default, or worse, because they hate George Bush. Hearing someone bash the president has become so incredibly cliche that I tend to roll my eyes (I love people always says 'oooo' everytime someone dreams up another non-original slam against him) I don't think a lot of people really understand why they hate the president other than baseless insults fed to them through media and pop culture/hip shows.

So, I don't want to be one of those; I want to have meaningful political beliefs based on common values and principles.

I think I don't have a fine enough appreciation of the differences between conservatism and liberalism. Maybe I should take Moral Foundations of Politics.

Or maybe I should heed Carl's advice, become a Tory and get it over with.
